I built this in 1999 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first moon landing.  I originally purchased this from a Grumman retiree in the late 80s.  It was a lot of fun- better than my first attempt in 1968!

That looks great !   I built one back in 1969 and it didn't turn out very good either .  If I remember correctly those little rocket nozzles on the corners were pointed every which way ,  and the gold foil was a mess !
It was still displayed on my Dad's desk .  Thanks for the memories !

I also built one back in 1969, I was 9 years old & it was the first space model kit I ever built.
