I built this one OOB except for the FROG Shackelton propellers,  scrap gearbox, and Monogram Bearcat drop-tanks. I used some of the Heller kit decals and Humbrol Glossy Sea Blue paint, applied by brush. This is a hypothetical build by Douglas to add more top speed and eliminate torque to aid in carrier operations.  Adios, Larry.

Even better!

Yeah, Larry!

        BIG iron!

Wonder what the torque on this would have been?

Bet the pilots would have over developed right leg and arm muscles! Like Popeye!

Nice of Mr. Coulson to donate the Shack props.

You are the Ed Heineman of  Area 51polystyrene. Work in Nostrodamus and Aliens and you'll be on the History Channel.

       Great stuff!

Hi, Bernie. The Great Auk, whoever he is when he is at home, and Ido not fly in the same circles. The Great Auk is a talented professional. I am merely a not-too-talented amateur. I attempt to do my "whiffers" as plausible "might-have-beens" or "could-bes", His creations know no boundaries. Adios, Larry.

Shucks

Mr. Chairman:

Makes sense to me, now that I muse upon it.

I just figgered it made the old airframe go faster, which I was always attracted to! Zoom! Buzz your girlfriends house, and stampede the chickens, sheep, cows and chinchillas! Yeah. baby!. The need for speed!

Gotta admit, though, it makes the airplane look wickedly purposeful, particularly these two.

Then I remember the "Thunderscreech" version of the F-84. I hear tell that the decibel level when the engine ran made folks fall over in the area, violently ill. Not a recommendation.

           Wild stuff, though.

Larry:

       Well played, still!

I'll grant you the Auk is in his own category, but you'll do nicely.

       Keep up the  plastic work.
